English18-year-old girl Xue who is from a poor family is sold to an old man named Liu to be his wife. However, Liu is a twisted person who not only makes Xue do all the household chores during the day, but also subjects her to various forms of sexual abuse at night. One day, Xue meets a fugitive named Hua, and they fall in love at first sight. They start a relationship and try their best to overcome the obstacles in their way.
